I really love movies. I love movies so much that I’ve made a conscious decision to dedicate almost every second of my free time towards updating this very film site, despite the fact that I’ve received nary a dime in return. It’s my pure unbridled passion for the medium that has motivated me to sit down in front of my computer night after night and bang out a constant stream of reviews, sometimes unwillingly depending on the film in question. It’s a relatively thankless and unrewarding process at times, with a lack of comments and random decreases in page views leading the way in raising personal doubts towards maintaining the site. However despite these rocky ups and downs, I still love every second spent sweating over my keyboard as I desperately search for the right way to articulately express my exact feelings towards a particular cinematic delight or travesty.
The reasoning for all this hard work is simple; movies are one of my few true passions in life. Don’t get me wrong, my free time doesn’t merely consist of night after night of lonely movie viewings in a dark room, life is far too busy to allow for such luxuries. However when I do find a free couple of hours to sprawl out across my couch and throw on a DVD of my choosing, it’s pure bliss. To put it simply, while some people have their sport and others have their music, I have movies. It’s a hobby that often borders on obsession, but watching movies translates as one of the simplest pleasures in life. Better yet, it’s a gateway to a whole new world of entertainment littered with colorful characters and enticing scenarios.
