Surviving the Zombie Uprising Part 2 – Make Your Stand1
By this stage, we’ve all undoubtedly made peace with the impending undead uprising that will surely spread across the planet like an unstoppable virus any day now. A plague that will scour the earth and won’t stop until every last soul on the planet is either a mindless zombie, or a meal for these rotting residents from hell. Some of you may use what little time we have left to gather around with your loved ones and spend your final days in their company. Some of you may pray. And some of you will accept this foul destiny that fate has dealt, and begin preparing for the approaching zombie apocalypse. And this is where I come in. No doubt by this stage you’ve already familiarised yourself with the various types of zombies that we can expect to find roaming the scorched remains of our ruined cities (if not, start studying up HERE). But knowing the enemy is only half the battle. Above anything you’re going to need to find a safe haven which you’ll be able to defend, and hopefully ride out the zombie apocalypse from within. Without a solid place to hold up in, you have absolutely zero chance of survival. Even the most bad-ass of zombie hunters needs to sleep at some point, and without an adequately safe place to rest your head, there’s no doubt your blissful dreams will be rudely interrupted by a ravenous zombie.
So once more, I’ve performed my civic duty and revisited my vast library of zombie films to learn what sort of dwellings will offer the highest level of protection from the undead hordes, as well which places will crumble at the first sign of trouble. And if you scoff at the mere prospect of using zombie films as an accurate reference for this thesis then think again, these films should be considered less fictitious works of art and more accurate predictions of the future, materialised from the minds of a small group of noble sages willing to warn us of the dangers that lay ahead. On that note, I urge you to study the following findings if you wish to prolong your stay in the land of the living.
