Check Out This Second Trailer For The World’s End0

The World's End

The second trailer for Edgar Wright’s pub-crawl picture, The World’s End, has been unveiled today by Yahoo. It’s an amusing extension of the previously released trailer, featuring more banter between the lads and extra robot footage. Yep, it seems like those blue-eyed beings are in fact robots.

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

Get A Laugh Out Of This New Anchorman 2 Trailer0

anchorman-2-will-ferrell

The second trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues has been released online. It’s a mild tease much like the previous trailer, featuring Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) and the rest of the Channel 4 news crew spouting their bizarre new catchphrases. Unsurprisingly it’s Steve Carell’s Brick who once again gets the biggest laugh here, the hilariously dimwitted character attempting to offer some questionable advice in his usual bumbling manner.

Sci-Fi Creepiness In This Trailer For Europa Report0

europa-report-movie-poster

The first theatrical trailer for Sebastian Cordero’s sci-fi horror film Europa Report has exited orbit and made a safe landing online. It looks like a tense and claustrophobic journey to some particularly unnerving dark corners of outer space, but what really frightens me is that this trailer is giving off a strong Apollo 18 vibe. However unlike that found footage travesty, Europa Report looks like it could be a more cerebral affair, playing off the audience’s fears of being stuck in a uninhabitable environment so far from home. Oh and the possibility of aliens or monsters. That’s probably pretty scary too…

The plot of the film follows “a group of astronauts, handpicked from around the world, who make the arduous journey to Jupiter’s frigid, glacial moon Europa in search of extraterrestrial life. The only thing more intimidating and unpredictable than the trip itself is what the team will encounter upon arrival…

Sharlto Copley stars alongside Michael Nyqvist, Daniel Wu, Anamaria Marinca, Christian Camargo, and Karolina Wydra.

Check Out The First Trailer For Riddick0

french-riddick-poster-cropped

The first trailer for Riddick has navigated the darkness and made its way online. The promising looking sci-fi film is the third instalment in a trilogy that begun with the excellent Pitch Black and was followed by the muddled The Chronicles Of RiddickVin Diesel stars as the titular character.

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.

Watch The Intense And Gory Red Band Trailer For V/H/S 21

VHS-2-movie-image

The first trailer for the horror anthology V/H/S 2 has debuted online in all its bloody, chaotic glory. I enjoyed the majority of the first V/H/S, but judging by this trailer the sequel has much more to offer. The overall product looks bigger, slicker and wilder, not to mention gory as hell. Everything and the kitchen sink has seemingly been thrown into this whirlwind of blood and scares, promising one hell of a wild ride. Count me in!

V/H/S 2 combines the directorial talents of Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Gareth Evans, Eduardo Sanchez, Gregg Hale, Jason Eisener and Timo Tjahjanto. The film will be released on VOD on June 6 and in theatres on July 12.

Inside a darkened house looms a column of TVs littered with VHS tapes, a pagan shrine to forgotten analog gods. The screens crackle and pop endlessly with monochrome vistas of static—white noise permeating the brain and fogging concentration. But you must fight the urge to relax: this is no mere movie night. Those obsolete spools contain more than just magnetic tape. They are imprinted with the very soul of evil.

From the demented minds that brought you last year’s V/H/S comes V/H/S/2, an all-new anthology of dread, madness, and gore. This follow-up ventures even further down the demented path blazed by its predecessor, discovering new and terrifying territory in the genre. This is modern horror at its most inventive, shrewdly subverting our expectations about viral videos in ways that are just as satisfying as they are sadistic. The result is the rarest of all tapes—a second generation with no loss of quality.

Aliens, Booze, Blood – Watch The First Trailer For The World’s End0

the-worlds-end-poster

The first trailer for Edgar Wright’s barhopping comedy The World’s End has stumbled online, bringing with it some crazy science-fiction action. The footage showcased here reveals that our intoxicated heroes will end up on the bad side of some seriously angry alien nasties, setting the stage for an amusing drunks vs extraterrestrials showdown. Wright’s slick, hyperactive filmmaking looks to be in full effect here too, the chaotic action shot with keen precision and flair. In terms of performances Simon Pegg and co. come off as a likeable bunch, ensuring this inebriated ride will go down smooth. Chalk this one up as a must see.

Watch The First Trailer For Ender’s Game0

enders-game-poster1

The first trailer for the long-awaited big screen adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s sci-fi novel Ender’s Game has been released. It’s a solid tease for the film featuring some impressive visuals and flashes of spectacular action set pieces. Harrison Ford looks to be in his element here, with his now natural grumpiness giving his callous character extra depth. Im not exactly sold on Asa Butterfield’s acting chops however, but perhaps the rapid nature of the trailer isn’t doing his performance any favours.

In the near future, a hostile alien race (called the Formics) have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander, Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young children to find the future Mazer. Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy, but strategically brilliant boy is pulled out of his school to join the elite.

Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult war games, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham, himself, to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

Rec 4: Apocalypse Dooms Us All With This Poster And Teaser Trailer1

rec-4-banner

The REC franchise has to be one of the more entertaining horror franchise currently alive and kicking. The first film was a heart-stopping scoop of handheld terror that added a neat twist to the zombie genre, the second introduced some questionable story elements but was so crazy that it didn’t matter, while the third film, the weakest of the lot, was a disappointment but still managed a handful of memorable moments. The upcoming fourth instalment, Rec 4: Apocalypse, looks to get the film back on track, returning to the doomed apartment complex featured in the first two films.

The newly released teaser poster and trailer for the film hint that original heroine (Manuela Velasco) will finally escape back into society, bringing with her the deadly plague that has already claimed so many victims.

Reportedly Rec 4: Apocalypse will wrap the series up.

Angela Vidal the young television reporter who entered the building with the fireman, manages to make it out alive. But what the soldiers don’t know is that she carries the seed of the strange infection.

A new Man Of Steel TV spot jam-packed with tasty new footage has made its way online.

Despite its brevity this quick tease is still quite revealing, highlighting a key confrontation between Superman (Henry Cavill) and General Zod (Michael Shannon) as well as the destruction that will be unleashed upon the unsuspecting city of Metropolis. Epic stuff.

A new banner has been unveiled for the film too, featuring Supes striking a heroic pose while his cape flutters triumphantly in the wind. It’s nothing that we haven’t seen before, but still a powerful sight.
